Foodventory

  • Had interactions with my partner/client, not interviews
  • Regularly ask for feedback in a timely manner
  • Deliver clickable prototype
  • Asking the right set of questions at the right time
  • One of the first mobile apps I worked on
  • Some of the first product of this king. There are no other food shelf life apps out there
  • Show affordances: demonstrate swipe gestures more clearly
  • Design interaction and visual concurrently
  • Do more testing
  • Demonstrated a user-centric focus
  • Connecting well with my client and catering to their needs
  • Iterating based off feedback
  • Delivered high-fidelity mockup and clickalbe prototype in one week

The Problem:

My partner, Dianne, needed an app to keep track of what’s currently in her fridge and monitor how close things are to expiring. She needed a Food Shelf Life app that will let her know when something is:

Solution:

Let's make an app that'll (1) list status of items using only three colors:

(2) Display the average time (t) of when it will expire

(3) And the option to see recommended recipes
